About the Dental Technician role

As the Dental technician, you'll work within the Laboratory Team and alongside a multidisciplinary oral health team to run the daily operations of the dental lab. You'll be responsible for the creation, modification and provision of dental laboratory services.

Reporting to the Oral Health Manager (with support from the Dental Prosthetist), this is a ongoing full-time role (1.0 FTE)

Your Passion and Commitment will see you:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the dental laboratory.
  • Work within your scope of practice to provide high-quality dental prosthetic appliances.
  • Deliver on performance, service standard and service quality KPIs.
  • Strengthen relationships with clients and stakeholders utilising laboratory services.
  • Maintain records and other laboratory documentation.
  • Mentor and supervise students (in-line with skills and experience)

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Diploma of Dental Technology, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' Dental Technician experience (highly desirable), with ability to work to full scope of laboratory practice.
  • Experience using technology in dentistry and dental laboratory settings including CAD-CAM dentistry, digital laboratory workflows, use of 3D printing and/or milling equipment.
  • Experience mentoring and supervising apprentices, students, and/or lesser experienced colleagues (where appropriate and in accordance with skills and experience).
