your opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture team at yourtown. You will be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries in line with legislative requirements, policies, and procedures. This will include end to end payroll, processing employee benefits services and providing high level customer service to our people leaders & team members.

Your role will include:

  • Deliver accurate end to end monthly, fortnightly, and weekly payroll requirements.
  • Preparation of all payrolls related month end tasks and preparation of monthly data audits for our payroll data assurance.
  • Preparation of end of financial year reporting and reconciliation of income statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and administrative tasks related to payroll including but not limited to: superannuation, salary packaging, workers compensation etc.

**This is a fixed term, full time opportunity for a 12-month period**

  • 2+ years’ payroll experience with Preceda Payroll System experience, is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with intermediate Microsoft excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team to deliver requirements and maintain quality data.
  • Experience in the operation of a payroll system and the necessary audit and data management requirements and standards
