An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Youthlaw, a state-wide specialist community legal centre for young people under 25.

Youthlaw is looking for a passionate lawyer with criminal law expertise to lead and develop our criminal law practice at our Carlton office. The position will involve reasonable caseload and court appearances , managing a small criminal law team, assisting our other lawyers, assisting the CEO to advocate for criminal law reform and contribute to justice system reform.

This role would suit a lawyer with at least 5 years criminal law experience, interested in the opportunity to develop criminal expertise in the representation of young adults, to manage and mentor other lawyers and contribute your expertise to criminal justice advocacy.

The full-time base salary for this position is $114,240 ( 7.1 of SCHCADS Award 2010). In addition, generous salary packaging, 11.5 % superannuation, 4 weeks annual leave and additional leave over the Xmas-New year period.
