Fundraising and Marketing Administration Officer

Youth Opportunities has a vacancy for the newly created position of Fundraising and Marketing Administration Officer.

This 12-month role will support the day-to-day activities of the Fundraising and Marketing team, and across the organisation in a broader capacity.

This is a varied and interesting role, with opportunity for growth.

You will work closely with our team to carry out administration in all areas, from event support to grant applications. You will help maintain strong relationships with supporters; research and identify new opportunities; respond to enquiries; produce correspondence and reports to donors; manage tasks in the CRM, and work on fundraising resources and marketing collateral.

The person we are looking for is a self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative yet also effectively as part of a team. You are reliable, and can multi-task, prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Above all, you thrive on the opportunity to get the job done well, especially when you know your work contributes to helping young people live their best lives.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in fundraising/marketing/communications/media, or proven office-based skills aligned to a fundraising and/or marketing/comms role.
  • Excellent skills across the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system – Blackbaud experience a bonus.
  • Experience using Canva or similar design program.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisation, administration, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • An awareness and appreciation of youth issues.
  • A positive approach and growth mindset, consistent with the Youth Opportunities ethos of personal leadership.
