Werribee Open Range Zoo Veterinary Department provides an exemplary high level of care to both exotic and native wildlife. We are looking for a Senior Veterinary Nurse with skills in surgical support, nursing and husbandry of a wide variety of species, with the ability to lead the Veterinary Nurse team.

Selection criteria:

• Flexibility in working cooperatively within a team dynamic as well as ability to promote high level team work.
• Ability to interact & support other team members within the Zoo campus ie Life Sciences
• Supportive interaction with wildlife carers and members of the public
• Participation in the day to day challenges within the hospital - inpatient care & scheduled or spontaneous procedures.
• Supervision of the preparation and planning for procedures.
• Oversight of the cleaning & maintaining of the hospital and equipment to the highest standards.
• Work within the Safety Circle.
