About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape CARE’s individual giving program and value proposition using storytelling, data analytics, best-practise communication tactics and state of the art marketing automation.

The Senior Manager of Individual Giving will develop a deep understanding of CARE’s core proposition to our supporters and use this knowledge to tailor customer experiences that exceed their expectations.

You will be responsible for maximising the long-term value of CARE Australia’s individual donors across regular giving, appeals, supporter care and virtual gifts - helping develop, implement and optimise acquisition and retention strategies to engage donors, increase loyalty and maximise income.

This new role provides the incumbent with an opportunity to manage established revenue streams while testing new initiatives - including the development and implementation of automated donor journeys and other activity to improve retention, increase second gift rates and maximise the lifetime value of our individual donors.

Adopting a donor first approach, you will put the donor at the centre of our fundraising work, delivering our annual calendar of direct mail appeals, promotion of CAREgifts (virtual gift program) and day-to-day management of the regular giving program including the existing telemarketing program to upgrade, reactive, convert and recover declined payments.

You will collaborate closely with the Digital Team to ensure acquisition activity is resulting in loyal, long-term donors with the ultimate aim of conversion to regular giving by creating tailored, meaningful interactions with CARE. This role oversees two direct reports - a newly created Individual Giving Coordinator role and as well as our Supporter Care Coordinator - and carries responsibility for meeting financial targets and other quality based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will also work closely with the Head of Donor Relations to develop annual strategies and budgets, holding responsibility for delivering projects within projected budgets and carrying out monthly or quarterly KPI reporting as required.
