About the role

The Human Resources Operations business unit provides HR Business Partnering, Health Safety & Wellbeing, Recruitment and HR Information Systems support services. The focus of the HR Operations teams is to provide high level support, expert timely advice and information, coaching, policies and procedures, business processes, continuous improvement strategies and HR technology systems to enable efficient, effective management and growth of the business, ensure financially sustainability, a safe place to work, an agile and flexible workforce, and technologically enabled.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner for a permanent, full time opportunity to work at our Central Office in the Heidelberg area. With work from home options, you will provide timely, effective delivery of HR support services including business partnering advice, ER & IR consultation, processes and policies, strategies, workforce capability, people management, conflict resolution and change management to meet business requirements. 

Key responsibilities

  • Consult with a client group providing contemporary timely HR support services, appropriate advice, processes and polices.
  • Develop and implement best practice industrial and employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution and workforce planning strategies.
  • Support the organisation with coaching and skill develop, change management programs and impact statements.
  • Provide remuneration, employment change and contract management support ensuring adherence to awards, industrial agreements and legislative requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the broader HR Operations teams, peers, employees, managers and stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives. 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Human Resources Management, Labour & Industrial Relations, Organisational Behaviour, Psychology or other related field.
  • Proven experience in a HR generalist lead role in a complex environment with an understanding of Community Services, Mental Health, Disability, Social Welfare, Housing, Healthcare or Government sectors.
  • Capability to interpret and implement HR policy and procedures, industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, salary classification, contractual matters and legislative application.
  • Expertise in delivering IR and ER solutions, employment management, workforce planning, conflict resolution and change management strategies.
  • Ability to consult, advise, coach and build cooperative relationships with peers, managers, employees and stakeholders.
