Our early intervention youth mentoring program is currently in over 180 high schools across Australia and available online. This translates to over 2,000 young people matched with a qualified mentor each year

About the Role:

As our Learning and Development Specialist you will play a critical role in working collaboratively with our Learning and Development team and wider teams to design, facilitate, coordinate and administer a range of learning and development initiatives for Raise Foundation.

Reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, this highly engaging role covers a broad range of learning and development related activities, including responsibility for learning program design and facilitation, program coordination and providing general support to the Learning and Development and wider People and Culture team.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has:

• A genuine passion for supporting young people and commitment to our purpose, intent and aspiration
• Relevant qualifications in a related field including Learning and Development, Human Resources or Organisational Development
• Experience facilitating and delivering learning programs both in person and online
• Experience facilitating and delivering a range of leadership and management programs, including soft skills
• Excellent organisation and coordination skills
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• A high attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
• A dynamic, engaging facilitation style
• Strong initiative
• The ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
• A warm and polite approach
• A collaborative, inclusive and supportive working style
• A commitment to transparent, open, authentic communication
• Has prior experience with learning management systems, and other technical platforms (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Moodle)
• Has experience as a Raise Mentor (ideal)
• Has the ability to work in a complex and changing environment
• A willingness to undergo the Raise selection process including appropriate youth safety and national crime checks
