This is a brand-new role, that will develop and deliver Sisters Inside’s Fundraising and Philanthropy Strategy, forming crucial future income streams for the organisation. Reporting to the CEO you will work in collaboration with the key stakeholders to diversify and maximise Sisters Inside’s revenue streams.
You will play a critical role in shaping and executing a best-practice major donor program, building on existing relationships, identifying new prospects, regular giving and community fundraising programs and driving significant growth.
Your leadership will be pivotal in integrating and aligning fundraising strategies with the overall organisational goals, ensuring a collaborative and cohesive approach across all teams.
Key Responsibilities of Position:
- Model SIS values in practice, including warmly engaging with criminalised women, girls and their children.
- Develop and implement the philanthropy and fundraising strategy to secure gifts, increase partnerships and grow income capacity.
- Contribute to and manage the strategic direction of fundraising in alignment with the organisations strategic plan and values.
- Optimise engagement and fundraising potential with strategic partners through donations, sponsorships, cause-related marketing, and workplace giving.
- Identify, nurture, and secure new strategic partnerships that align with mission and objectives.
- Develop a thriving Workplace Giving program for corporate partners.
- Oversight of all supporter management activities (including events) ensuring best-practice relationship management of supporters remains strong to nurture their ongoing support of the Sisters Inside.
- Develop and manage all engagement programs, including relevant events and tailored communications.
- Implement and review the Philanthropy and Fundraising strategy and budget, to achieve agreed targets.
- Develop and steward relationships with corporate and philanthropic foundations, preparing and submitting applications for corporate grants.
- Develop and maintain a robust new business pipeline for partnership opportunities.
- Maintain budget and reporting management for the fundraising and philanthropic strategy.
- Monitor and assess financial performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary actions.

- Deliver reports and presentations for the Board, and CEO as required.
- Regularly scan the industry to understand fundraising best practice and apply these insights across Fundraising and Philanthropy strategy.
- Undertake other tasks as negotiated with the CEO.
Knowledge Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in philanthropy, identifying and fostering high-level strategic new partnerships, along with effective relationship and account management, and non-profit sectors.
- Demonstrated success in the full major donor cycle, research, prospecting, solicitation, and reporting.
- Knowledge of fundraising revenue streams including planned giving, individual giving & community fundraising.
- Experience in developing and securing Philanthropic partnerships.
- An ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and deliver strategic initiatives within budget.
- Experience in developing marketing materials and implementing marketing campaigns.
- Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making abilities.

Essential Requirements:
