The role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the objective is to provide high level operational oversight to the work of People & Culture as well as lead a broad range of culturally informed People & Culture functions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a people and culture strategy to meet the overall business objectives of Supply Nation.
- Identify and develop culturally safe workplace initiatives in consultation with the CEO, to ensure the workforce is diverse, engaged, and empowered.
- Provide timely HR support to the leadership team and tailor HR solutions and advice in relation to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff.
- Promote Supply Nation as an employer of choice by enhancing its recruitment strategy and process and reviewing its attraction and sourcing practices.
- Develop and review People and Culture policies and procedures and ensure Supply nation is compliant with all WHS laws.

About you
You will be an experienced Human Resource professional who has demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous societies, cultures and issues affecting Indigenous Australians in business. You will have high level communication, negotiation, research and interpersonal skills. You will possess the ability to adapt to a fast paced and rapidly changing work environment, while working both in a team and independently.
Key Selection Criteria
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in an HR Management role with the ability to contribute to leadership at an executive level.
- Knowledge of best practice recruitment, retention, development, and attraction of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Good understanding of employment legislation, Award interpretation and WHS legislation and standards.
- Ability to positively influence key stakeholders and build and maintain relationships.
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
