We are seeking two Domestic Violence Specialist workers for our Domestic Violence Response Enhancement (DVRE) Service to provide specialist domestic violence support to single women and women with children who have been placed in Temporary Accommodation (TA) by Link2Home, Domestic Violence Line and Police.
These workers will provide case management to women to assist them to address their homelessness issues in an effort to prevent them from entering or re-entering the homelessness system. The role aims to address immediate needs related to a woman’s domestic violence issues and explore alternative accommodation options and assist them with securing safe affordable housing.
The successful applicant will be willing to undertake further training in using a domestic & family violence informed, trauma-informed and strength-based approach in their work.
We are hoping to schedule interviews for Wednesday 27 September 2023 with the successful applicants to start on Tuesday 3 October 2023. Please note if this timeframe doesn’t suit eligible applicants alternate arrangements will be negotiated.
Based on a 35 hour per week, pay range for Level 4 Pay point 1 $82,045 to Pay point 4 $88,270 plus 11% superannuation and Salary Sacrifice offered.
Confirmation of employment will be subject to candidate's possession of a Current Australian Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check, completed Australian Criminal History Check and provision of COVID-19 vaccination certificate, in line with the DV West COVID Business Continuity Plan, or valid medical exemption, to comply with DV West’s Work Health and Safety requirements.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a “Working with Children” and a “Criminal Record” check prior to commencement of employment (costs are covered by DV West).
