Wesley Mission is a high profile, multi-faceted Christian organisation making a real difference in the community. We work with the most disadvantaged in our community by providing over 200 services ranging from aged care, homeless services, child and family care, counselling, health, employment, training and education services.
Our Vision is “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.”
The Commonwealth Government is funding this new pilot program as part of its $1.1 billion commitment in the 2021-22 Federal Budget to help end violence against women and children. Wesley Mission will lead this pilot program in NSW and the ACT.
The Escaping Violence Payment (EVP) program will provide assistance up to $5,000 for individuals wanting to leave a violent partner. This includes financial assistance, along with goods, services, and any assistance they may need to establish a safe place to live.
We are looking for a Team Leader who is conscientious, reliable and motivated about making a difference. The EVP Team Leader role is a specialist Domestic & Family Violence position. You will be supervising and leading our Sydney based team to ensure delivery of a safe and responsive service, monitoring victim & survivors safety, providing financial packages and referrals to a range of wrap-around supports as required.
All staff in the Communities program work hard to develop and maintain harmonious working relationships in an autonomous-supportive work environment where they are all trained to be the best in their field. Wesley Mission provides regular supervision, support and training for all staff.
