Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA) eagerly welcomes applications for the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
WWDA serves as the national Disabled People’s Organisation (DPO) and National Women’s Alliance (NWA), advocating for the rights of women, girls, feminine-identifying, and non-binary people with disabilities across Australia. Representing over 2 million women and girls with disabilities, WWDA operates at both national and international levels.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA) is pivotal in leading the organisation to advance the rights and freedoms of women and girls with disabilities (WGwD) across Australia. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), senior managers and the WWDA Management Committee, the CEO will oversee the development, implementation, organisation and evaluation of WWDA's policies, programs, projects and activities.
The CEO will ensure that all actions are compliant with relevant policies, legal and contractual obligations while aligning with WWDA’s philosophy and objectives. By employing a collective decision-making model and a human rights framework, the CEO will strengthen WWDA's position as the national representative body for women and girls with disabilities in Australia.
Additionally, the CEO will manage time and resources efficiently with minimal supervision and adhere to Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health and Safety and Industrial Democracy principles. The role requires advanced research and evaluation skills, a commitment to continuous quality improvement, technical proficiency, and expertise in funding and grants processes.
Based remotely in accordance with WWDA’s Working from Home Policy, the CEO reports to the WWDA Management Committee and must exercise considerable initiative and professional judgment to achieve WWDA’s objectives.

Additionally, they may undergo a Job Access assessment (Employee Assistance Fund) in line with WWDA’s Working from Home Policy and OHS obligations.
Remuneration: Salary commensurate with relevant experience and aligned with the budget for this position.
