Wellways is leading an exciting phase in the mental health sector's reform activities and are strengthening the learning, development and career pathways of lived experience employees. Working closely with our Lived Experience team and P&C Services, we will differentiate how we attract, retain and develop our lived experience workforce.
This key leadership position leads the training and development team and contributes to the overall workforce and organisational development strategies. Sitting within the broader People & Culture team, the role will support organisation wide training needs and solutions with a 'current' and 'future' need lens.
The role requires a mix of strategic thinking and planning combined with 'operational doing'. Essentially being flexible in how one approaches work will see this role move seamlessly across the range of demands. For example, moving from having discussions and planning around training program quality, design and demand one day, to facilitating and/or designing eLearning the next. With this naturally comes the necessity to time manage and prioitise workload, projects and tasks effectively.
You are a natural people leader who looks to motivate and inspire outstanding performance within your team. You are conscious about setting the right example to ensure a culture of engagement, belonging and connection is attained.
Some key skills and experience you may bring are a strong knowledge of training program scope, design and delivery methods and practice. Use a contemporary lens for learning principles and practices to ensure we are positioned to deliver industry led learning experiences.
A culture of wellbeing, belonging and performance is at the core of Wellways team dynamics and we will support you to lead and manage your people and teams to enhance team performance and training program quality.
Desirable:

For a confidential discussion about the role, please contact Alan Johnson 0490 372 381.
