Your role:

The Senior Payroll Officer role sits at the People and Culture Advisor level within the AV P&C Team. The role will involve tasks that help AV improve efficiencies, respond to the more challenging payroll enquiries and run more complex reports for the organisation offering analysis not just the raw data.

You will also run payroll every 2 weeks, a mixture of award and non-award salaries plus manual processing for around 500 employees. Anglicare Victoria use Preceda but it is not essential for you to have already used that as we will be transitioning to a new system in 2025. 

Make your mark:

  • Demonstrated ability to perform a high volume of data processing, to work autonomously, meet deadlines and assess priorities.
  • Ability to analyse data and prepare complex, detailed reports.
  • Support the team to manage complex problems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Solid understanding of applicable laws and regulations covering payroll administration, income taxation, superannuation, salary packaging, awards, and industrial agreements.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and collaborative communication skills
  • An alignment with AV’s Values and Mission to do better for Children, Young People and Families
