ARDS Aboriginal Corporation is a Yolŋu organisation specialising in cross-cultural communication, community development and creative media. ARDS has been working in East Arnhem Land for nearly 50 years, putting Indigenous languages, perspectives, skills and decision-making at the centre of its work.
ARDS aims to ‘bridge the gap’ between mainstream services and information, and the information and service delivery approaches that Indigenous communities want and need.
As the Corporate Services Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring robust business systems that empower our team to achieve our strategic plan and organisational goals.
You will oversee the development and implementation of essential corporate service functions, collaborating closely with the CEO and the ARDS Company Secretary. Your expertise will directly support the Board, the CEO, and our dedicated managers (Däjgamirr) as we work to make a meaningful impact in Indigenous communities.
You will be a proactive and strategic manager, with a minimum of 5 years’ proven success within HR, accounting, or corporate services. You will be adept at financial acumen, including budgeting and cash flow management and bring with you a passion for developing organisational processes and understanding employment-related obligations such as WHS and WWVP. Your proven experience communicating in cross-cultural settings will be key, particularly when working alongside First Nations peoples who speak English as a second language.
Pivotal to this role is a genuine commitment to working inclusively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and culturally diverse individuals. You'll possess the sensitivity and insight to address issues affecting these communities, fostering meaningful engagement and communication.
