  • Hourly rate paid at Social Workers Level 5.1, plus superannuation, and annual leave loading.
  • The position is ongoing.

The position is located within the Client Services Team which consists of Case Management, Therapeutic and After Hours Family Violence Practitioners. This role provides Family Violence Case Management to women, children and young people who have experienced domestic and/or family violence.

  • The position will hold a case load of clients including infants, children and young people.
  • This position will be expected to train in the after hours crisis response in order to backfill shifts.
  • The position reports directly to the Client Services Manager.
  • The position is based within the Annie North core and cluster facility however, some travel may be required for training and outreach.

Preferred days and hours can be negotiated.

selection criteria

  • A demonstrated understanding of gender-based violence and inequality in the Australian context and a commitment to addressing family violence within a feminist framework.
  • Understanding of the impacts of family violence on the development of infants, children and young people.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks relating to family violence practice, including but not limited to the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS), Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) and the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM).
  • Demonstrated understanding of intersectionality as it relates to diverse and marginalised populations and their experience of family violence.
  • Demonstrated ability to use trauma-informed, client-centred and child centred practice frameworks which prioritise safety.
  • Demonstrated high levels of resilience and ability to work in a changing and demanding environment – exercising maturity of judgement and sound problem solving capability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of critically reflective practice and commitment to supervision, self-care and professional development.
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal communication skills, resulting in collaborative relationships with both clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Well-developed administration skills, including strong computer literacy and experience in maintaining records, including case notes.

Conditions are in accordance with the Annie North Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027.
