About APCO
The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) is Australia’s co-regulator for packaging and a not-for-profit organisation driving the development of a circular economy for packaging.
APCO is the entity in charge of managing and administering the Australian Packaging Covenant (the Covenant), which is a national regulatory framework under the National Environment Protection (Used Packaging Materials) Measure 2011 (NEPM). This framework defines the collective responsibility shared by governments and businesses across Australia in managing the environmental impact of packaging.
The Role
As a Member Support Officer, you are our brand ambassador, engaging and delivering exceptional support to our members throughout their journey. You help Members meet their goals, enhance Member compliance, satisfaction and retention, and contribute to a circular economy. Your efforts ensure Members are equipped with the resources, guidance, and tools they need to lead the way in creating a more sustainable future for packaging in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate, and helpful responses to existing, prospective Members and stakeholders from all channels, ensuring they feel supported and valued in their engagement with APCO.
- Proactively assist Members in understanding and meeting compliance obligations, offering clear guidance and practical resources via phone, email and meetings.
- Identify needs for, and promote Members use of, APCO resources, programs, case studies, and success stories to inspire and empower Members to lead in sustainable packaging.

You will be a great candidate of you have:
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar tools) is desirable. with experience in a member-based organisation
- Experience in understanding and communicating compliance or regulatory requirements
- Knowledge or interest in the packaging industry, sustainable practices, and the circular economy is a plus.
