About the role

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role provides high level operational support and HR advice as well as leading the People & Culture functions across Aurora. As part of a small team, you will be responsible for 1 direct report.

Key responsibilities

The People & Culture Leader is responsible for assisting in the delivery of the following HR functions:

• Employee Relations & HRIS
• Engagement
• Recruitment
• Work Health & Safety
• Performance Management - Support the P&C Manager with the delivery of development plans
• Culture & Wellbeing
• Learning & Development

Selection Criteria

• Must identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field
• Demonstrated experience leading a small HR team, preferably within the NFP sector
• Excellent ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organisational, task and time management skills
• Ability to respond positively to changing priorities and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

Other Requirements

• Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check.
• Satisfactory national police check.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
