Role Overview

The Business Manager is responsible for managing business operations of the organisation, aligned to Baringa's mission of providing the best foundation for children through excellence in early childhood education, advocacy and family support.

Responsibilities include includes, but not limited to, financial management, human resources, audits and evaluations and ongoing centre improvement.

The role assists in reporting to the Board, budget development, financial monitoring and risk management. When required, the Business Manager takes on the role as acting Executive Officer for periods of time when the Executive Officer has planned leave.

  • You have Bachelor Degree and/or Post Graduate qualifications and experience in business, finance, human resources, education, social services, community development, policy development, or project management; and ability to demonstrate skills transferable to the responsibilities required in this role.

  • You will be supported by, and work directly with our Executive Officer, and be part of the Baringa Family.
  • Baringa has a rich history in early childhood education and has been supporting generations of families for over 40 years. As a community based, registered charity and incorporated association, Baringa is a critical hub with a broad social impact.
  • You will coordinate external consultants including accountant, bookkeeper, HR consultant, compliance and legal officers, to support the organisation.

Candidates shortlisted must be available to attend an interview. Candidates deemed suitable for the position will be offered to be on the Merit List for 12 months.

The role is a permanent part-time position, with a brief probation period.
