Position Overview:

The CEO will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation, fostering strong partnerships, and ensuring the effective delivery of the programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to advance the mission and goals of the organisation.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, government agencies, and the broader community.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that address the needs of women in Sydney, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Drive fundraising efforts to secure financial resources needed to sustain and expand their programs and services.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as adherence to best practices in nonprofit management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector or related fields.
  • Strong passion for and commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of women.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action and drive organisational growth and impact.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising, resource mobilisation, and financial management.
  • Knowledge of issues affecting women in Sydney and a commitment to social justice and equity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
