About the role

To lead the WHS team to lead and deliver an effective Work, Health & Safety (WHS) Management System, ensuring effective legislative compliance, injury prevention and reduction, and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Executive, People and Culture, the WHS Manager will provide expert advice to the WHS Team, management team and executive team on WHS and Workers Compensation matters.

The Key WHS outcomes include:

  • Lead the daily operations of the WHS Management System
  • Ingrain continuous improvement of the policies, procedures and processes to effectively reduce injury and illness
  • Day to day management of the WHS Team to deliver on strategic and operational outcomes
  • Analyse data and trends to identify foreseeable hazards and put in place activities to minimise risk
  • Oversee the Workers Compensation claims management

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in WHS and Injury Management
  • Relevant qualification in Work, Health & Safety Management or similar field
  • Experience in managing WHS hazards in Disability, Human Services or the like
  • MUST have or willing to complete the following: National Police Check, Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check and hold a NSW Drivers License
