The Crisis Accommodation Coordinator is a unique position and is required to integrate and provide support to Hub Practitioners of any partner agency in The Orange Door which includes practitioners and leaders from Child Protection, Child Wellbeing (Child First), Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and Perpetrator services. It holds key relationships with the Practice Leadership group, particularly regarding brokerage, legislative requirements and external agency interfaces.
This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with providers of Emergency Accommodation in the North Eastern Melbourne Area (NEMA).
It plays a pivotal role in upholding a feminist framework, trauma informed and child development approach, including family violence risk assessment. Building upon these frameworks, a strong understanding of the local and state-wide Family Violence service sector is essential.
