The Services and Support team at Beyond Blue delivers effective early intervention, treatment and recovery-focused mental health and suicide prevention supports and services, so people can receive help early and recover quickly to ensure their best possible mental health.
The Way Back Support Service is a Beyond Blue initiative delivered by multiple third-party service providers nationally. Beyond Blue developed The Way Back Support Service (‘The Way Back’) in 2014 as a psychosocial service response to support people following a suicide attempt or experiencing suicidal crisis. The service is more than halfway through its national expansion from 10 pilot sites to more than 33 sites nationally by 2021.
The role will successfully manage the design and implementation of the national roll out, including the progression from the implementation phase through to the governance and reporting phase of The Way Back Support Service. This will involve being responsible to identify the customer needs and the wider organisational objective that a product will fulfill; in addition to manage issues, risks and project change to ensure successful and on–time project delivery. This position will work closely with various staff across the business to manage the delivery of objectives as agreed with our Government-funding partners. The role will also be responsible for managing daily activities relating to the national roll out of The Way Back Support Service program and tasked with quality assurance of deliverables within specified time and cost constraints.
The Way Back Support Service (The Way Back) is a non-clinical support service on providing practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide. The Service is delivered to these people for a period of up to three months and targets those at risk through referrals, following hospital presentations. The service is delivered by non-profit organisations with a strong record in providing community-based psychosocial support.
The ideal candidate is someone from a strong product management background, who loves change. You will be flexible to changing needs and requirements within a fast growing and evolving community service-delivery environment. You are a natural at storytelling and have a strong sense of empathy. You have exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. You are innovative with a creative mindset, with the ability to problem-solve and adapt.
