  • Location: ACCE Greensborough Office with Flexible work from home
  • Time Fraction: Full Time
  • Contract date: Maximum term of 12 months from commencement

The Australian Centre for Career Education Ltd (ACCE) was established in 1975, as a not-for-profit educational charity and has a continuous history of providing quality teaching and learning programs in career development. This role is an Assessor Position as part of of the CEAV Institute (RTO 22523) at ACCE.

We have a proud history of training, resource development, program design and service delivery to the education and community sectors, industry, governments, and the community. Our members support career education and development in these sectors.

The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assessor to join the ACCE team to:

  • Maintain high professional standards for the design and development of quality programs and courses.
  • Design and develop quality programs and courses to reflect the guidelines of the Standards for RTOs, CICA, and ASQA.
  • Monitor the quality of training and assessment via industry consultation, internal/external validation, and client/learner feedback.
  • Maintain industry currency and competency in line with the Standards for RTOs and the ASQA, and the CICA Australian Professional Standards for Career Practitioners.
  • Plan and deliver quality training programs (relevant to their area of competence)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the RTO Manager, the position includes:

  • High-level time management and organisational skills as well as acute attention to detail and accurate records of training and assessment
  • Adheres to timelines on student assessments and works within the policies and procedures of the CEAV Institute
  • Competent in the use of online platforms such as Moodle, or other LMS
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally with all stakeholders at varying levels
  • Well-developed computer skills and competent in the use of the suite of Microsoft Office programs and computer processes
  • Uphold the Victorian Quality Charter and fulfill your obligations under the Skills First Contract
  • High level of customer service
  • Commitment to lifelong learning
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written; and
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

Knowledge, and Experience

  • Proven ability to deliver quality training and assessment and to produce supporting training and assessment materials.
  • Proven ability to deliver career education qualifications and workshops and undertake validation.
  • Proven ability to deliver in an online learning environment and instructional design.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging training in a blended environment to a range of students’ abilities.
  • Proven ability to deliver engaging training in an online learning environment and apply instructional design.
  • Vocational Experience in the careers industry.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Qualification in a CICA-endorsed career development qualification at the professional level, Graduate Certificate in Career Development or higher.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Diploma of VET and/or Diploma of Design and Delivery
  • Full Australian driver’s licence or access to public transport or transport
  • Current Victorian Working with Children Check and Clear National Police Check or VIT Registration
