At the Caroline Chisholm Society (CCS) we believe in the empowerment of women and families. We do this by providing services and supports to mothers, babies, and young children.

The Volunteer Coordinator at the Caroline Chisholm Society - Goulburn Valley works closely with coordinating volunteers that support the material aid program.

The role is part time for 9 hours per week.

On behalf of the Society, the Volunteer Coordinator undertakes a key leadership role in establishing and managing stakeholder and community engagement opportunities to secure future funding.

The successful applicant will have experience in a community service, volunteer management or administrative role. Applicants need to have a confident, compassionate approach when dealing with a wide variety of people, including the ability to be respectful and helpful with clients and volunteers. The ideal applicant is someone who thrives on developing relationships and multi-tasking, has experience in a volunteer environment and wants to make a difference in the lives of young families.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE DEMONSTRATED THAT THEY:

• Understand and share the values and objectives of the Caroline Chisholm Society.
• Experience in a community service, volunteer management or administration role.
• Have the skills to work independently and know when to escalate items for resolution.
• Have a high attention to detail and can manage multiple priorities.
• Can manage changing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to a changing business environment.
• Have a confident, compassionate approach when dealing with a wide variety of people including the ability to be respectful and helpful with volunteers and clients. A highly developed understanding of, and ability to maintain, confidentiality.
• Strengths in MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in the processing of pre-loved goods in a volunteer environment would be highly valued.
