About the role

At our Early Learning Centre, we provide a range of learning experiences for children aged between 3 and 5 years. Our centre is open from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education within a fun, warm, caring and safe. The role requires flexibility to work across morning and afternoon shifts.

Above award rate $28.52 per hour + super + leave loading + salary packaging + RDO

Duties

  • Assisting the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3–5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
  • Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children.
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Working with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations.
  • Form collaborative and positive relationships with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Certificate III qualifications in Child Care (or working towards).
  • Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.

Highly Desirable

  • Current First Aid, CPR Certificate, or willing to obtain before starting.
