An exciting opportunities exists within the Central Australian Women’s Legal Service to join our legal team.
CAWLS is seeking a self-motivated candidate with high-order advocacy and written communication and problem-solving skills, demonstrated legal practice experience and a strong work ethic. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about improving access to justice for women in Central Australia and the Barkly.
CAWLS is a busy community legal practice with a vibrant and dedicated team committed to providing representation and excellent outcomes for our clients through law reform, legal advice and representation, community legal education and outreach. Many of our clients are women who have experienced or are experiencing Domestic and Family violence.
Under the direction of the Managing Principal Solicitor, the Senior Solicitor will be engaged in legal advice, casework, outreach clinics, information and referral, community engagement, community legal education and law reform.
Excellent ongoing training and on the job support will be provided to the successful applicant.
Total effective package includes: base salary, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance.
As a Senior Solicitor with the Central Australian Women’s Legal Service, you will be working in a small but busy and tight knit team. You will assist other solicitors and have carriage of a number of your own matters.
