About the role

As Coordinator, Systems and Support, you will work across the People (Employment and Volunteering) group to support strategies that attract and engage Cancer Council Queensland (CCQ) employees and volunteers. In this role, you will develop and maintain existing human resource and volunteer management systems and databases, with the potential to implement new systems and projects.

You will understand data and provide in-depth reporting and data analysis on system usage to identify data-driven continuous improvement solutions. As a strong influencer, communicator and driver of change, you will work with the broader CCQ group to support the effective utilisation of systems by employees and volunteers to support CCQ activities.

This role is a Permanent/Part-Time position (30 hours per week).

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have a strong interest in human resources and volunteer management. Experience in workforce planning, volunteering management systems and a demonstrated aptitude for human resource information systems will be highly desirable.

Innovation is highly regarded along with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to respond to changing circumstances in a flexible and adaptable way, including being positively responsive to and able to influence change management, is of high importance.

Your innovative and planned approach will be complemented by data-driven decision-making. The ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects is critical for success in this role and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite and the ongoing development of systems and databases is required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrated competence working within a quality framework and the ability to develop and implement procedures and operational documentation to a high standard.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating multiple/and or complex projects, preferably within the not-for-profit environment and an understanding of project management methodology.
  • Experience working with, and maintaining, volunteer management systems and human resource information systems.
  • Proven experience-enhancing data reporting and analysis to guide data-driven decision making.
  • A demonstrated aptitude for IT systems and database development and maintenance.
  • Proven skills in computer software applications and data, MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically and to plan ahead.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise in a flexible and adaptable way, including being positively responsive to change management.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with multiple stakeholders in a virtual working environment.
  • A strong influencer, communicator and driver of change.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and with minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • An interest in human resources and volunteer management, ideally within a not for profit environment.
  • Knowledge and proven experience in developing and implementing best practice volunteer strategy and theory.
