Our client, the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation [RHWF] , is committed to improving health outcomes through critical research, equipment, and program support. Each year, The Royal delivers over 4,000 babies, cares for over 1,000 premature babies, and treats over 10,000 women across various specialties, including maternal-fetal medicine, gynaecology, oncology and fertility.

Position Summary:

As the Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Executive [CEO] and the broader Foundation team, assisting in the planning, execution, and management of fundraising campaigns and events, maintaining donor relationships, and contributing to the overall growth of the development program.

Key responsibilities include:

Donor Relations:

  • Work with the CEO to achieve fundraising goals and build lasting donor relationships;
  • Ensure existing donors are well-stewarded and recognised;
  • Assist with donor communications and maintain up-to-date donor information in our CRM system;
  • Manage donor engagement programs and coordinate impact materials;
  • Manage the administration of the patient engagement programs; Baby Stars and Koala for RHWF.

Administrative Support:

  • Act as the friendly and helpful face and first phone contact for RHWF;
  • Act as the primary contact for RHWF, managing incoming communications and IT service tickets;
  • Provide administrative support to the RHWF team.

EA to GM and Hospital Relationships

  • Support the CEO in monitoring team performance metrics;
  • Manage the CEO's calendar, coordinate meetings, and act as a liaison with the Board, hospital staff, suppliers, and partners;
  • Assist the CEO in preparing grant proposals, corporate partner pitches and reports;
  • Organise donor and partner tours of The Royal Hospital for Women;
  • Provide administration support to the CEO on People and HR initiatives;
  • Assist in the stewardship of volunteers through our philanthropic committees.

Philanthropy Campaigns:

  • Assist in developing and implementing major donor campaigns and strategies;
  • Conduct research to identify potential donors and sponsors.

Event Coordination:

  • Help plan and execute fundraising events, including beneficiary and community outreach events;
  • Manage event logistics and volunteer programs.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, communications, and other team members to align efforts with RHWF’s goals;
  • Collaborate with volunteers and committees to ensure successful fundraising activities.

What You Bring:

  • Passion for RHW’s mission and a commitment to advancing its goals;
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience;
  • 1-3 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to effectively deal with confidentiality and privacy issues associated with development and donor relations activities;
  • Demonstrated project management skills and a proven ability to prioritise workload consistently within a results-driven environment;
  • Strong analytical skills.
