CERES Fair Wood is a CERES Social Enterprise. Located in its warehouse showroom in Preston, CERES Fair Wood has a social and environmental mission to connect Australian farm foresters and saw millers with socially and environmentally conscious consumers. Fair Wood educates the Australian community on sourcing ecologically sustainable and ethical timber from farm foresters and regeneratively managed timber plantations.

WHERE YOU COME IN

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time timber Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our timber warehouse, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting sales activities.

You will make an impact by:

• Assisting with the daily operations of the timber warehouse, including inventory management, deliveries and organisation of materials.
• Providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and processing sales transactions
• Safely operate and maintain a delivery vehicle (truck, tipper, etc) to transport timber and firewood to customers’ locations.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

This role requires:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of timber products is an advantage but not required.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
