Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (NPY) Women’s Council was founded by and is led, governed and directed by women from the NPY region. It was created to give a voice to women across 26 desert communities in the cross-border regions of Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Today, they continue to provide progressive, innovative and evidence-based work in service delivery, advocacy and support.
As the Youth Services Manager you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a large youth service encompassing, Sport and Recreation, Youth Support, Education, Leadership Development, AOD Prevention Services and Youth Employment Programs ensuring responsive, high quality, participatory and inclusive youth programs that meet the needs of young people and their families across the NPY region.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing high performing teams in the delivery of human services, preferably within Indigenous youth programs. You will lead from the front with a ‘hands on’ approach, whilst providing support, supervision, mentoring and guidance to your team.
You will have a collaborative and strategic approach, be a natural relationship builder and display excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills. In addition, you will hold a tertiary qualification in either social sciences, social policy, community service, health or another relevant field.
