If so, then this unique opportunity to join CS#1’s Executive team, is for you. You would be instrumental in leading the People, Culture, Risk and Compliance function and team on a continuous improvement delivery journey across all the above areas.

This position is critical to shaping all people, culture, risk and compliance related activities and systems, that enable CS#1 to attract and develop talent in a way that builds workforce capability and ensure sound risk management and compliance practices are in place.

About the Role

The Executive Director: People, Culture, Risk and Compliance reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will be supported by a team of four.

High level objectives are to:

  • Shape all ‘people’ related activities and systems that enable CS#1 to attract, develop and retain talent,
  • Deliver people and culture outcomes that span the breadth of workforce design, employee life cycle and workplace culture programs; and
  • Develop and maintain a robust risk management and compliance framework.

This position is a key member of CS#1’s Executive Team and provide strong leadership in these key areas.

About the Person

The ideal person will take ownership of and bring drive and positivity to the People, Culture, Risk Management and Compliance functions of the business.

As several Program areas within the organisation are set to embark on a growth journey – we are looking for an experienced and highly skilled individual who can provide the leadership and guidance that the people (and associated processes and systems) will require for this expansion to be successful.

  • Annual salary between $130,000 and $135,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus superannuation + PBI tax benefits (to maximise take home pay)

Key Requirements - Selection Criteria

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in fields such as Human Resource Management and/or Business Management – and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Senior Human Resource or management role.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and application of National Employment Legislation, Award Instruments and Regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience project managing solutions-focused, strategic HR outcomes, including shaping, developing, and implementing workforce design and management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding organisational risk and compliance obligations through relevant legislative and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading investigations, mediating positive outcomes, and supporting the results with clearly written reports that comply with regulatory body requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing people and systems to promote skills development and monitor service performance.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of WHS frameworks, policies, strategies, and procedures that support compliance and quality improvement.
  • Hold an ACT Working with Vulnerable People card.
  • Current Drivers Licence and car

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in either the Early Education and Care or Aged Care sector.
  • Industry/Professional memberships/networks.
