  • Base Salary: $74,470 - $82,855 (p.a.)
  • Total Effective Package: $93,879 - $103,356 (p.a.)*

About the role

We are looking for an experienced female Aboriginal maternal support worker to join our Alukura Womens Health team.

This exciting position will work in partnership with midwives and supports maternity client engagement to improve maternal and infant outcomes by providing social, emotional and cultural support to women in pregnancy and until six weeks following birth.

The Alukura Maternal Support Worker (AMSW) is partnered with a midwife to assist with social aspects of client case management and service engagement across the continuum of maternity care. This is achieved by fostering relationships for maintaining ongoing client contact, confirming follow up arrangements, assisting with transport, support and linkage to social services and cultural advocacy.
