We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and compassionate individual to run the strategic and granting processes of the Aesop Foundation (Australia), A Private Ancillary Fund (PAF) and to support the broader philanthropic function of the business globally.

Aesop wishes to provide a net benefit to the communities in which we operate, extending beyond the economic contribution of our stores and products. To this end the Aesop Foundation supports neighbourhoods with literary and culturally focused initiatives using a percentage of our profit. The individual will be required to help carry out this mission and will be responsible for driving the granting activities and internal staff engagement related to the Aesop Foundation in Australia, including liaising with the grant making Committee, Board, Aesop staff and the not for profit sector.

You will support the Head of Foundation with all grant making requirements of the Aesop Foundation, and will be an active advocate in the business for the Foundation and other philanthropic activities globally.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years' experience in grant making role in a Private Ancillary Fund or other philanthropic foundation or a related organisation
• Experience with not for profit organisations, either in a grant making organisation or a fundraising organisation
• Interest in the community sector
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive to achieve strong outcomes for the team
• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
• Ability to develop strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group
• Exhibit outstanding and effective communication skills
