We are a leading specialist family violence service in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Our vision is for our community to be free from family violence where everyone is safe. Previously EDVOS, we’ve just launched our new name and identity to better express the important work we do, and agitate as a change agent for our clients and the community.
We’ve grown to a team of around 170 people in recent years, as response service have expanded following the Royal Commission into Family Violence. We provide access and initial response services in partnership with other agencies through The Orange Doors in Croydon and Box Hill, and case management services through our support and recovery team in Ringwood.
We also work to change attitudes to gender equality to prevent violence from happening in the first place, and equip the community to respond to disclosures of abuse. We do this through a range of initiatives delivered by our primary prevention, education and training team.
We apply an intersectional lens to all of our work. Our approach is trauma informed, strengths based, and person centred.
What our clients are saying: “My case manager supported me with deep care. She helped me in every aspect through her wisdom and patience. She makes sure that I am doing well. Without her, I wouldn’t be as hopeful."
What our people are saying: “I love the culture at FVREE and how supportive the environment is. It’s something I had not experienced until I came here.”
The primary role of a Case Support Worker is to undertake a range of administrative tasks and organise daily priorities which directly support the case management team to provide support to adults and their children who are responding to family violence.
The role of The Orange Door is to provide:
We celebrate diversity in all its forms, and welcome interest in our work from people with a range of experiences.

FVREE actively promotes a safe and inclusive workplace where workers are free from discrimination and are afforded dignity and respect. We encourage applications from women of all abilities, as well as from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those who identify as LGBTI.
FVREE is a child-focused and child safe organisation and is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and interests of children. All appointments with FVREE are subject to a police records check, working with children check and reference checks.
