Do you want to contribute to creating a community free from family violence where everyone is safe?

About EDVOS

We are a leading specialist family violence service working with victim survivors in Eastern Melbourne. We also do prevention and education work nationally.

Family violence can take many forms such as intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder abuse, carer abuse, parental abuse and sibling abuse. Our services are directed towards women, children, pets and other animals, who are responding to any form of family violence.

About the Opportunity

We believe that quality is about more than ticking boxes – it’s about making sure we embed a culture of doing our work with a high level of quality and in line with regulated standards and best practice. We take a learning approach and seek to continually enhance our services and programs to positively impact the lives of people experiencing family violence.

We are looking for a motivated professional to help us continually improve our practice working in close partnership with our services teams.

The kinds of things you will work on include:

  • The development of policies and procedures to support continuous improvement as well as compliance with standards
  • Supporting accreditation and other certification processes

About you

With a background in quality and/or compliance you are motivated by doing good in the world, and ideally have experience in the social services/not for profit sector.

You like working with people, have great communication skills and can effectively partner internally to embed learning and practice improvement.

Our commitment to safety, equity, diversity and inclusion.

We believe that the unique contributions of all our people at EDVOS create our success. To ensure that our culture and our services continue to incorporate everyone's perspectives and experience, we encourage applications from the LGBTIQA+ community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and people of all abilities.

Due to the gendered nature of family violence, much of our workforce is women, though this is not a requirement for all roles. We never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.

EDVOS is a child-focused and child safe organisation and is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and interests of children. All appointments with EDVOS are subject to a police records check, working with children check and reference checks.
