The MyMedicare Support Officer, Practice Support is responsible for providing support to General Practices and Allied Health providers across the Central and Eastern Sydney PHN (CESPHN) region, on the MyMedicare program and practice support initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to general practices and allied health on participation in the MyMedicare program.
- Provide client visits, meetings, email and telephone support to general practice and allied health staff including GPs, GP Registrars, Practice Nurses, Allied Health providers, Practice Managers and their staff on practice, practice support/digital health and QI related activities.
- Undertake work on connecting healthcare providers to MyMedicare including activities related to Practice Incentive Program (PIPs), MBS items and Chronic Disease Management (CDM) items.
- Develop and implement targeted, appropriate, and sustainable educational activities to support general practice and allied health with the MyMedicare program.
- Undertake administrative tasks such as production and distribution of correspondence, reports and/or presentations relating to the program including resource development, updating of CESPHN website and social media platforms, and development of newsletter articles.
Selection criteria – essential
- Tertiary qualifications in health, health promotion and / or relevant experience in digital health/practice management field
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, Word, Database, SharePoint etc. and the willingness to learn clinical software used by health care providers
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, set project goals, prioritise tasks and troubleshoot in order to achieve key objectives within designated timeframes
- Ability to build, develop and sustain positive partnerships and productive working relationships with all levels of stakeholders, including individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Experience providing training and support to health care professionals and community members
- High level of interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, including excellent phone manner
- Access to a motor vehicle and possession of a current NSW drivers’ licence
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Selection criteria - desirable
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles
- Ability and willingness to facilitate educational workshops and develop quality educational resources.
