About Us:

Elizabeth Morgan House Aboriginal Women’s Services Inc (EMH) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation governed by an elected Board of Directors, that has been providing Specialist Family Violence services for Victorian Aboriginal women and their children since 1976.

EMH takes direction and works consultatively with the community in all aspects of our services, we are a proud grassroots service and active participation as a sector leader in operation for over 40 years.

EMH provide specialist services to Aboriginal women and their children. Our programs and services are quality assured, accredited and highly respected.

Central to our work and business is the aim to provide advocacy and support for the empowerment of Aboriginal women, children, young people and the wider community.

The range of services we provide is delivered across multiple sites in North and West Melbourne Metro, and includes:

  • Family Violence response including a high security refuge, intake and triage and crisis accommodation for women experiencing Family Violence
  • Specialist cultural case management support in our Family Violence, Justice and Therapeutic services and programs
  • Advocacy and support

About the Role:

Elizabeth Morgan House Aboriginal Women’s Services Inc (EMH) is seeking a Learning and Development Lead to drive the development of training and workforce development initiatives. Based in Fairfield, this role involves overseeing and innovating learning resources and programs that build skills, foster cultural understanding, and enhance service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee EMH’s Learning Journey, including induction, compliance training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and content experts to create culturally informed training resources.
  • Facilitate workshops, develop materials, and manage learning project timelines.
  • Engage with sector stakeholders and represent EMH in forums and networks.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and course authoring tools.
  • Skilled in project management, needs analysis, and facilitation.
  • Strong communication and cultural competency, with a commitment to EMH’s mission.

Remuneration:

  • Salary in line with SCHADS Level 6 ($106,000 - $111,000 p/a)
  • NFP Salary Packaging options to increase your take-home pay
  • Paid ‘Bonus Leave’ over the Christmas-New Year period
