About Us:

Emerge Support Network is a dedicated family violence service in Melbourne, committed to empowering and safeguarding families affected by violence. We provide comprehensive support services, including refuge, transitional housing, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Position Overview:

As a Family Violence Case Manager at Emerge Support Network, you will be based at our crisis accommodation core and cluster refuge and also participate in outreach work. Reporting to the Refuge Team Lead, you will engage with women and children who have experienced family violence and work with stakeholders and other organisations to provide holistic support.

Remuneration:

This role will be remunerated at SCHADS Level 5 Paypoint 1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist family violence risk assessment and support within the MARAM framework.
  • Develop and implement holistic, individualised support plans across various areas, including safety, independence, well-being, housing, social inclusion, and employment.
  • Engage regularly and proactively with women and children in both short-term and longer-term accommodation, predominantly in a refuge setting.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with a range of services and stakeholders to help women and children achieve their goals.
  • Provide specialist secondary consultation regarding the support of women and children escaping family violence.
  • Deliver inclusive and client-led support.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate case management strategies for women and their children, including developing individual case plans, safety plans, and family work as allocated by the Manager of Integrated Family Services.
  • Assess and induct clients referred to Emerge Support Network.
  • Provide telephone information, referral, and support to women and their children experiencing or escaping family violence.
  • Facilitate support groups for women and children escaping family violence.
  • Provide each client with a case plan according to Emerge’s defined format and guidelines.
  • Participate in the rostered on-call service and court support service.
  • Provide secondary consultation to relevant community agencies and services.

Requirements:

  • A Working with Children Check (Employee Version)
  • A current Victorian driver’s license
  • Successful appointment to the position will be subject to a National Police Check (and international if applicable)
  • Meet the REC 209 minimum qualifications
