FemiliPNG Australia supports Femili PNG to raise awareness, prevent, and respond to family and sexual violence (FSV) and sorcery accusation-related violence (SARV) in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

We are seeking a Fundraising and Communications Officer to support our organisation to raise awareness, raise funds and host events. If you’re organised, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to a great cause, we’d love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate has experience in one or more of the following:

  • Leading community fundraising activities in a not-for-profit context
  • Event management
  • Communications / marketing
  • Social media and/or website development
  • Financial management
  • Developing strategic business plans

The ideal candidate:

  • Has strong written and oral communication skills
  • Can work independently to a deadline
  • Enjoys social media and online communications
  • Has an understanding of digital fundraising platforms and CRM systems
  • Is committed to the objectives and values of FemiliPNG Australia
  • Can work effectively and flexibly as part of a diverse, geographically remote team
  • Is based in Canberra or surrounds

Our recruitment timeline is compressed due to the festive season:

  • 6th January: Application deadline
  • 7th January: Short-listing process completed; all candidates contacted
  • 10th January: Interviews completed
  • 13th – 15th January: Reference checks completed
  • 15th – 16th January: Position offered to successful candidate
  • 20th January: Ideal starting date (negotiable with the successful candidate).
