About the role

  • Part time position (32 hours per week) until 30 June 2026
  • Base Full Time Salary: $105,564 - $114,410 (salary is based on experience)

The Project Manager provides leadership to oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the project. This includes identifying suitable partners and facilitating partner relationships throughout the project, and ensuring that clinical service delivery, education delivery and evaluation is carried out appropriately within identified timeframes. It also includes the effective, efficient and successful management of workforce, productivity, budget, quality control and safety measures of the project. The Project Manager collaborates across the organisation and with key stakeholders to implement effective systems which support achievement of the strategic goals, operational and financial targets of the project, and establish and maintain strong working relationships.

SEARCH is a pilot project to establish a health service model that will build the capacity of local service providers in regional and rural areas to provide high quality reproductive health services that are sustainable in the long-term. The project targets locations in regional and rural NSW which have the highest reproductive health need and limited access to safe and affordable services, especially for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (public health, health management, nursing, allied health or similar) with at least 4 years’ experience working in health, community services or similar field
  • Excellent project management and planning, implementing and embedding change
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, strengthening and maintaining partnerships
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills including advocacy, partnership development, networking and report writing skills
  • High level problem-solving skills, proven capacity to manage competing demands and adapt effectively to change
  • Sound computer skills, including MS Office applications
  • Current unrestricted NSW Driver’s License and ability to travel throughout NSW
  • Must have Australian working rights

Desirable:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Clinical knowledge and experience in reproductive & sexual health
  • Experience in managing service delivery working with relevant population groups, particularly people from an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background, CALD background, people with disability or young people

Other requirements:

  • A Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check are required prior to commencement in the role.
