About the Role

Gold Coast Hospital Foundation is looking for an inspired individual to help deliver a powerful impact on the lives of people on the Gold Coast. We need a Partnerships Lead - Corporate and Major Donors, who is looking to work with the local community to ensure the best health care is available for the people of the Gold Coast when they need it most.

This role focuses on nurturing and developing long-term partnerships with major donors and corporate partners while still delivering on established financial targets. You will play a key role in identifying and cultivating meaningful relationships, creating thoughtful solicitation plans that engage and inspire our partners over time. Your immediate jump-in attitude will be essential as you balance strategic engagement with the need to achieve financial goals, ensuring sustained income growth through collaboration and dedication.

With a passion for helping our community, you will use your strong organisation, research, and relationship-building skills to ensure that all activities are delivered to the highest standard and on time. Your proven ability to convert gifts highlights your capability to coordinate and support income-generating activities that lead to major contributions from individuals and businesses.

We have an ambitious strategic plan to grow our positive impact for local patients and health services and we are looking for a new team member in a newly designed role to help us do this. As part of a small but agile team, you will help take our fundraising and engagement to new levels so we can deliver even more impact to people who need our help.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Implementation:

  • Contribute to annual fundraising strategies for major donors and strategic corporate partnerships.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enhance supporter engagement.
  • Develop stewardship systems to improve supporter retention.
  • Continually identify potential partners from both the GCHF community and the GCHF database/network

Partnership Development and Management:

  • Achieve income targets through strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of high-value donors and businesses.
  • Research potential partners to inform solicitation strategies.

Donor Engagement and Events:

  • Deliver stewardship plan to strengthen supporter relationships.
  • Coordinate and attend supporter engagement events.
  • Ensure ongoing engagement and support for existing partners.

Income Generation and Reporting:

  • Secure partners for specific fundraising activities such as Giving Day matched gifts.
  • Secure and grow major gift income and partnerships proactively.
  • Track activities against income targets and report on progress.
  • Maintain data integrity in the fundraising database.
  • Deliver all activity within expenditure budgets and seek to exceed income targets

Team Collaboration:

  • Participate actively in team activities and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Provide excellent customer service to stakeholders.

Essential Attributes:

  • A proven ability to confidently secure significant income through effective asks to corporate partners and/or major donors, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding annual income targets.
  • Exceptional skills in developing and managing relationships, evidenced by successful donor engagement and high-touch stewardship.
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities, including expertise in delivering quality research and effectively managing a prospect pipeline.
  • A creative, solution-oriented mindset complemented by a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to work, demonstrating a growth-oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with CRM systems, particularly with Salesforce or similar fundraising databases.
  • A deep commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, actively contributing to a positive workplace culture through values-driven engagement.

Desirable:

  • Background in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in health or medical charities, or national charities.
  • Experience operating within a moves management framework.
