- The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 4, pay point dependent on experience ($85,530.37 - $92,039.91 pro rata), plus superannuation and $15,990 salary sacrificing.
Our Operations and Contracts team are responsible for creating a healthy and safe workplace that focuses on the wellbeing and productivity of GenWest employees.
As Facilities Officer you will sit within the Facilities team, you will report to the Facilities Team Lead.
Your role will support the wider team with adhering to GenWest Facilities' operational requirements. As Facilities Officer you will support day-to-day activities related to facilities operations and maintenance. Ensuring that our offices and refuge units are all conducive to the organisation's productivity, safety, and security. This role is located in the Footscray/Sunshine area, in Western Melbourne, you will be required to travel to other locations within Western Melbourne.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting in overseeing and managing maintenance of each site, ensuring that equipment & ground maintenance systems (building, plumbing, gardening, cleaning, electrical), are maintained and uphold security and safety of staff and clients.
- Handling minor repairs or coordinating with external providers for major repairs and upgrades.
- Ensuring GenWest Fleet is properly maintained, including annual registration processes, regular servicing, and cleaning as per schedule.
- Assisting in facility/office renovation, relocation, or layout changes, refuge unit refresh, and other improvement projects for efficient use of facilities.
- Sourcing suppliers obtaining quotes for building maintenance, including but not limited to cleaning, security, and waste management.
- Supporting in conducting regular safety audits including inputting, updating, and maintaining records. This includes coordinating assessments and incident reports.
- Maintaining health and safety records, including risk assessments and incident reports.
Essential:
- Certificate related to facility/property management, business administration and/or a minimum of 3 years in facilities management or a related role.
- Basic Excel and Microsoft Office capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate will have:
- OHS and safety experience.
- Security & facility system experience.
