We are seeking a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to join our team of skilled professionals at based The Orange Door, Sunshine.
This role is available on an ongoing part-time (0.9) basis, starting at a SCHADS 4.4 ($92,039.91) to a SCHADS 5.3 ($102,278.01) pro rata + superannuation + $15,990 salary sacrificing.
The role will report to an Orange Door Team Leader and will work as part of an integrated team to deliver high quality, safe and effective responses to victim survivors of family violence, adults who use violence and families who need extra support with the care of children.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver screening and triage, assessments, crisis responses, safety planning and targeted interventions consistent with relevant risk assessment tools and frameworks (MARAM and Best Interests Frameworks).
- Assess and prioritise risk/needs of adult victim survivors, children, families, and adults who use violence, drawing on the expertise of practitioners in an integrated team.
- Comply with agency, program and legislative requirements in relation to information sharing, case recording and data entry requirements.
- Provide brief interventions, assessment and referral pathways and the ability to manage often complex demands within an Integrated Practice Framework.
- Phone based and face to face client contact.
You will have:
- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent as per the mandatory minimum qualification requirements for specialist family violence practitioners.
- Experience, skills, and capabilities in the community sector with family violence experience preferred.
- Understanding of the broader service system referral pathways.
- Sound understanding of the MARAM Framework.
