The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the development and delivery of programs for Girl Guiding in Australia. You will provide support to the National Coordinators (volunteers) to ensure effective and efficient outcomes of national volunteer activities, aligning with the Girl Guides Australia (GGA) Strategic Plan.
As a proactive member of the National Office Management Team, you will build relationships and integrate best practices to support GGA's growth and profile as a valuable community organisation.
In this role, you will be responsible for expanding program offerings and enhancing the quality of Guiding programs. You will develop, implement, and maintain systems and procedures to support project delivery.
Collaborating with National Volunteer Coordinators, you will support project delivery in line with the GGA Business Plan. Additionally, you will facilitate and support regular meetings with State office peers for the coordination and delivery of the Australian Guiding Program.
Developing social media communications to promote Girl Guiding, including creating new posts and sharing content from State Girl Guide Organisations and WAGGGS Member Organisations, will also be part of your responsibilities.
You will proactively enhance processes and practices to improve project delivery efficiency, effectiveness, timeliness, and quality. Regular reporting on program performance to the Australian Guiding Committee will be required.
You will demonstrate high levels of customer service in all communications, both internally and externally, and build and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.
This is a part- time 4 days per week role. It is a hands-on project coordination role that involves communication and engagement with staff and volunteers. Flexibility is required as some out-of-hours work is necessary to attend volunteer meetings in the evening. Time in lieu is provided.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in Operations, Project Management, or volunteer engagement roles. A good understanding of the development and implementation of educational programs is preferred.
You should have a demonstrated understanding of project management, high-level written and oral communication skills, and knowledge of time-management processes and scheduling frameworks.
Proficiency in office software and data management, along with accuracy and attention to detail, is essential. An understanding of Girl Guides is desired but not essential.
Girl Guides Australia (GGA) is the national office for Girl Guiding in Australia. A youth organisation which provides girl-led program to support the building of resilience, new skills, teamwork, and friendships. The national team is small, but passionate. in delivering outcomes for Girl Guiding in Australia. GGA is currently in its third year of implementing a 5-year strategy.
The GGA office is in the Hub Hyde Park a certified BCorp business. The office is located moments from Hyde Park and Museum Station as well as bus routes on Oxford Street. A shared workspace that offers the staff access to member perks such as discounts across a range of services and products. There is a small in-house gym and end of trip amenities. The Hub is also a dog friendly building. GGA offers a hybrid way of working and all staff have access to an EAP.
