GMI have recently transitioned from a communal model to newly developed Core and Cluster model (one of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Family Violence), with new purpose-built facilities.

The role of the Case Manager is to provide family violence risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy and holistic therapeutic case management support to women and children/young people who have experienced family violence and sought refuge in our crisis accommodation.

The successful applicant will have qualifications in Social Work or equivalent (Nursing, Midwifery, Mental Health, Counselling, Youth Work, Alcohol and Other Drugs, Public Health, Community Development or Psychology) and practice from an intersectional feminist framework. They will recognise family violence as a gendered issue that impacts significantly on women and children/young people, whilst drawing from other relevant legislations and frameworks to ensure systemic, inclusive and strengths-based service delivery.
