- Specialist Family Violence Service - Crisis Accommodation and Case Management
- Support Worker - Part Time, 37.5 hours per fortnight. Rotating roster of weekend day shifts and evenings shifts + sleepover
- SCHADS level 4. Penalty rates apply in addition to salary packaging and above Award EBA conditions
- 6 month contract with possibility of extension
The role of Support Worker involves a variety of tasks, including:
- Provide crisis response and support service to victim/survivors of family violence
- Welcoming clients into the service
- Undertaking risk assessment and safety planning
- Provide practical and emotional support to clients in the service
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the environment is friendly, culturally inclusive and client focussed.
- Leading play with children and initiating creative activities for women to engage with their children.
- De-escalating behaviours and supporting women and children with their daily routines, as required
- Setting up and preparing units for new clients to enter refuge
The successful incumbents requires a great deal of autonomy, initiative, and problem-solving skills being the sole staff member onsite during most shifts. OnCall back up support provided.

Rotating roster of weekend day shifts and evenings shifts + sleepover:
- Week 1:
- Friday 5pm - 11pm (Sleepover)
- Sunday 8:30am - 5:30pm
- Week 2:
- Saturday 5pm - 11pm (Sleepover)
- Sunday 5pm - 11pm (Sleepover)
- Monday 5pm - 11pm (Sleepover)
- Tuesday 7am - 9am
