About Our Client

Variety the Children’s Charity is a global organisation with local presence in countries all around the world, united by the mission to help children living with disabilities, illness or experiencing disadvantage. Variety provides support through the provision of grants for a range of equipment, such as wheelchairs or all-abilities playgrounds to provide practical help to kids, schools and organisations.

We run programs to educate and empower kids that are falling through the cracks and we give scholarships to encourage the talents of kids living with disability or experiencing disadvantage.

And last but certainly not least, we deliver kids’ events to bring joy, light and laughter to children in need and their families.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of Fundraising and Marketing, we are seeking a passionate Partnerships Manager to grow our supporter networks and drive partnership opportunities that support financial sustainability.

This role is key in identifying and engaging prospective donors and partners to build a sustainable growth pipeline as well as strengthening relationships with existing donors and partners, ensuring successful fundraising and community engagement.

The Role

Our ideal candidate thrives on engaging diverse stakeholders, has a strong drive to succeed, attention to detail, excellent administrative skills, and is innovative and passionate about making a difference for children in need.

Your day may look like:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage corporate partners in long-term support, including sponsorships, philanthropy, employee volunteering, and joint initiatives.
  • Drive awareness through collaboration with new partners, leveraging their networks to promote Variety’s mission and events to a wider audience.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase Variety’s supporter relationships by engaging, nurturing, and expanding this network.
  • Build and manage relationships with new and existing key partners.
  • Lead fundraising initiatives through relationship-building and community engagement.
  • Ensure supporters are valued, engaged, and recognised through their entire journey, from onboarding to ongoing involvement.
  • Develop tailored communication strategies designed to maximise supporter engagement, retention, and loyalty.
  • Use data and insights to inform strategies and continuously enhance the effectiveness of supporter engagement and fundraising efforts.

About You

Our Partnerships Manager will be able to display the following skills & attributes:

  • Proven experience in business development, relationship management, or community engagement.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising.
  • Organisational and administrative skills, with a passion for making a difference.
  • Experience with Microsoft products is essential, and familiarity with Salesforce is highly regarded.
  • Passion for making a difference to kids and their families.
  • Ability to work constructively and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to actively participate in all Variety activities.
  • Demonstrable emotional intelligence, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and hardworking, with high levels of customer service, enthusiasm, and energy.
  • An entrepreneurial approach with an ability to identify and act upon opportunities.
  • A knack for problem-solving skills with capacity for proactive and dynamic thinking.
