Role Purpose

As a Principal Evaluator you will be responsible for the execution of Good Shepherd Institute’s (GSI) evaluation related work. You will be able to identify, prioritise, coordinate and implement evaluation projects, grant and contract opportunities and applications, and relevant communications (written and oral).

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying opportunities and prioritising, coordinating and allocating evaluation projects across the PASI team in collaboration with internal and, where relevant, external stakeholders, in line with the Good Shepherd Strategy.
  • Identify and incorporate emerging national and international evaluation, research, and policy developments relevant to Good Shepherd’s impact areas.
  • Collaborate in preparing and submitting internal and external evaluation funding/contract applications for GSI.
  • Work closely with all areas of Good Shepherd and GSI to identify emerging trends that can inform policy, research, and evaluation priorities.
  • Engage with external stakeholders to extend GSI's impact and expertise.

About you

  • Relevant post-graduate (PhD) tertiary qualifications in social sciences, social work, or other related disciplines and experience working within a not-for-profit organisation.
  • High level writing skills that can be applied to a range of documentation and audiences, as well as facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with flexibility to reprioritise and manage competing demands; adjust timelines to meet deadlines and be resilient in the face of change.
  • Extensive experience in knowledge translation and producing high quality evaluation and research that can contribute to the effectiveness of services.
